Why it is needed
Android can send Wake-on-LAN by itself, but it cannot reliably know which actions your PC supports or prepare a reboot into Linux or Windows. The agent handles that part from the computer itself.
WOL DualBoot Agent is installed on Windows or Linux and adds a small system tray app. From there you can check status, review Wake-on-LAN and show the pairing QR.
What it adds
The agent turns the PC setup into simple Android actions: wake, shut down, reboot, reboot into Linux or Windows when dual boot supports it, and show what still needs configuration.
The Android app does not need operating-system passwords or free-form commands. It only shows the actions the agent reports as available.
Installation
Install the agent on the computer you want to control. Windows and Debian/Ubuntu downloads are available from the downloads page.
After installation, open WOL DualBoot Agent from the system tray and generate the QR. The Android app scans that QR to link with the computer.
Daily use
Most days you do not need to open the agent. It stays on the computer so Android can read status and run the available actions.
Use the tray app again when you want to review Wake-on-LAN, generate a new QR, see diagnostics or quit the tray app.
